KANSAS CITY, Kan. – On Wednesday police identified Curtis L. Schaver, 51, as the victim of a homicide that happened early on Tuesday morning. Schaver was a resident of Kansas City, Kan according to a press release from the Kansas City, Kan. Police Department.
Police were dispatched to the 2800 block of North 76th St. around 4 a.m. in regards to a disturbance. When they arrived they found Schaver in the front yard of a home and he had been shot an undetermined number of times. He was transported to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The homeowner was interviewed as a person of interest, but KCKPD’s Major Case Unit is still investigating and encourages anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS (8477).
